My Path with Honey

It has always been known that honey is medicine, yet what most humans had forgotten is its energetic power. When I began to connect with the sacredness of bees and the ritual use of honey, and discovered that there was such a thing as a honey massage, the idea drew me in deeply—it was something I simply had to learn. What I never imagined was that its power went far beyond our comprehension.

I remember the anxiety with which I awaited the beginning. I remember my first patients, my devotion, and also how unwell I began to feel after each practice. The discomfort was so intense that I had to stop. And yet, considering how much my training had cost me—the effort of being a mother of two, one two years old and the other still a baby, while my partner worked far away—the passion for honey kept burning in me.

Even though I did not understand it at the time, I sensed that in the future I would. My instructor perceived this too. He told me: You will give lectures about this, you will write about this, and you will teach this. He was not wrong.

Although he did not work with the energetic aspect back then and could not guide me in that dimension, it was something I had to discover on my own. In my ebook Bee Your Own Medicine – A Path of Self-Healing with the Energy of Honey, I tell the full story of this adventure. In that journey, I had to fall ill in order to return to honey therapy, to apply it to myself, and to reconfirm its power—understanding what had happened in the past when I worked with others. I promised myself that I would share it. And not only the self-massage I discovered in my process, but also the technique to support others.

It is not easy to explain what honey therapy is—and I call it therapy because it is not a simple massage. Many people believe it is something very pleasant because honey is sweet and golden, but the process can be painful. Not in all cases, not in all climates, and not with all honeys. Much depends on the type of flowering, the climate, and the space where it is practiced. However, when used properly, this technique catalyzes profound healing processes to heal the root. If the person is open to observing what honey wants to reveal, the process is very powerful.

It is not just about taking honey and performing a massage. The energetic qualities of honey can trigger authentic purifications, and if the therapist’s energetic field is not well managed, it can be compromised—along with their health.

Looking back now, it could not have been any other way. At this point, I could not share this technique without having gone through what I went through. You cannot guide others where you yourself have not been. And although the path has not been easy, for me it is an honor that the bees have chosen me to remember that their honey is much more than a sweetener, a healer of wounds, or a digestive aid. Thank you, little bees, for guiding my path and arriving not only to heal me, but to expand your medicine, to remind us of your sacredness, and to clarify my purpose in this incarnation.
